In 2003, members of the Mohawk Valley Christian Education Foundation Board retained the well-respected international research firm of Zogby International to evaluate the potential of building a faith based private school in the region. Through a series of surveys of parents with school age children, potential parents, church congregants, business and political leaders, it became clear that the greater Mohawk Valley area needs a values-based learning environment not currently available in the region.
In the region at this time, there is a self-paced Christian school, a full classroom style school in an outlining area, as well as a handful of Catholic schools located primarily in the Utica, Rome and Oneida areas.
The Zobgy study clearly demonstrated the need and desire for a Christian school that families throughout the area are looking for.
