The Moshannon Valley Music department has won an award for being one of the best communities for music education.

 The mission of the Moshannon Valley Community Education Foundation is to  ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty and staff, with community involvement, in a partnership of lifetime learning.  By offering innovative programs, opportunities, and a platform for speakers who may or may not be alum, we hope to bring the world and the life experiences of many, to the students of Moshannon Valley.  Through new experiences, challenging ideas and points of views, we hope to broaden the minds of every generation and encourage people to dream and realize those dreams.

Whenever an individual, company, group, or charitable organization decides to make a contribution, bequests, or transfers assets to the Foundation it will be considered tax deductible.  The Foundation became  an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization which means any financial gift will be tax-deductible in the year the donation is made.  Contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code.  Bequests, devises, transfers or gifts are tax deductible under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

The Foundation is dedicated to encouraging community-wide participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students in the Moshannon Valley School District and ensure long-range financial flexibility for schools within the District. With your support, together we can assist the Moshannon Valley School District in "Creating world citizens" who  enjoy learning.

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.        ~Clay P. Bedford
